the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish
Church for the celebration of the 23rd Sunday in the Ordinary Time,
Year A.
This Sunday’s Gospel teaches us
Christians how to practice charity in everyday and real life. True love
does not allow us to ignore the demand of justice, otherwise it becomes blinded
love. Justice worthy of its name should not be deprived of love if people
do not want inhuman justice.
We pray hard in this Holy Mass to
God for people in all over the world so that they may live together in peace
and love, and settle their problems also in peace and love, being firmly
convinced that only the power of God’s love can bring true and lasting peace.

Reading Ez 33:7-9
Charity urges a person to bring back
to God’s saving love his or her friend who did something morally wrong.
He or she will be responsible for not doing so if the sinner dies in sin.
When he or she has done their best to help the sinner, yet the latter refuses
to repent, they are not held guilty for the loss of their friend.

Reading Rom 13:8-10
Charity is so meaningful and
important for Christians that Saint Paul seems to be delighted that they become
one another’s debtors in terms of love.
